I completely forgot to write about the spontaneous New Year 2010.
In general, on the morning of December 31, we did not even know where the celebration of the New Year would take place. Since we were already in Poland, but we “did not reach” Zakopane.
Yes, and to come to Zakopane on the night of December 31, without even having a booked hotel - it would be completely “not smart”.
We stopped in Lublin and decided that we would stay here to celebrate the New Year.
The search for a hotel was successful very quickly. YES, and a hotel, wow, like in a New Year's fairy tale.

Willa Rosana. This old villa, with a unique interior. Villa Rosana was built over a century ago. It is surrounded by pine trees in a picturesque historic area. The hotel has only five rooms. Luckily, two of them were free. The rooms are not very big but have nice stylish furniture with large beds. Very cozy and all kind of homey. Moreover, the impression is that somewhere in the house of great-grandmother visited. Chests, vintage gramophones, furniture, napkins, pictures, tablecloths. I have never seen anything like it anywhere else.
By the same lucky chance, the restaurant found a table for celebrating the new year. The impression was that all the celebrants were familiar with each other, but we very harmoniously joined the stream of general fun. Very funny people, they ALL danced and sang all night. And later, the DJ somewhere found the White Roses of Yura Shatunov especially for us, so the Poles sang this song in Polish with great joy.
The cost of the room was no more than 50 dollars. Celebration in a restaurant for about $100 per person, with unlimited champagne and vodka. A worthy table with five takeaways of dishes and + a buffet table + a large pig on a spit.
