The sculpture "Avilda" by Jaume Plensa is installed in the courtyard of the university's Faculty of Law (Sigmund-Haffner-Gasse 13). The female head seems to grow out of the ground and consists of several layers of white marble, clearly separated by contrasting lines. The work is dedicated to the daughter of the Scandinavian king of the 5th century - Avilda.
