The Battlefield of Waterloo attracts many visitors every year, as it is one of the largest battlefields in world history, where the Napoleonic Wars ended. On the territory of this historical complex are: the building of the Panorama of the battle (impressive pictures with the sounds of battle); The 42-meter Lion's Mound with a staircase leading to the observation platform of the battlefield and with a figure of a lion cast from melted down French cannons; a small Wellington Museum (a collection of objects from the battlefield, as well as paintings and things related to Wellington) and Napoleon's headquarters. Having escaped from prison on the island of Elba, Napoleon was going to regain his former conquests, the people of France seemed to support him. Military victories are a big deal, you never know that the country's economy is barely alive after the emperor's wars.→
