The Rila Monastery is located in the mountain range of the same name in Bulgaria - the Rila Mountains. It is located in a picturesque mountain gorge, which can be reached by car or by bus, which runs a couple of times a day. The monastery is surrounded by dense forests and mountain peaks over 2000 m above sea level. The air here is clean and fresh, the bustle of the city is also far from here, so the area is conducive to solitude and reflection on religion.
