Aquapark Vodny Mir

Okay, but not great! The price is clearly too high for this place.

This water park is advertised as something outstanding, the largest and best in Europe - this is not true, I write right away. Tickets can be purchased at the box office and through the water park website. We took from a travel agent, so a couple of euros cheaper. Also, discounts are given at the hotel, shops, taxi drivers, tour guides ...but you have to look. We had tickets in electronic form, just a printout on A4, from the pluses - you don’t have to queue with them, or this queue is small. Opening hours from 10 to 18. It is better to arrive at 9:30. It doesn’t make sense to take a car to get there: buses often go directly under the water park for 1.5 euros from Protaras, Ayia Napa No. 102 (this is the final one), and back No. 101. Entrance with food and drinks is prohibited, bags are examined (but they allegedly did not notice my water, for which I thank you). All that you find should be left here in the refrigerator, take away at the end of the day. There is a left-luggage office for 7.5 euros, 2 euros will be returned at the end.
But ...no one bears responsibility, they were afraid to leave a bag with a camera and nothing: when the three of us rode, they simply asked the staff at the bottom of the hill to look after, no one refused. And you can’t pay with a bracelet here, you would have to go for cash. There are normal changing rooms, clean toilets and showers. The territory is not large in the style of the myths of Ancient Greece, in the sense of columns and statues, slides and food courts have the corresponding names. There are green spaces: flowers, which mostly burn out by the end of the season, banana palms, citrus trees with fruits that cannot be touched, about which there are signs all over the park. It is better to go on a weekday, locals are added on weekends. If you are not alone, it makes sense to divide the queues: one stands behind the cheesecakes, the other goes up the hill. A standard set of slides, a slow river, a jacuzzi, a wave pool, a children's area.
Be sure to keep in mind that the slides work according to the schedule: one slide closes and the staff moves from it to another! (First time I've seen this). Enough sunbeds and umbrellas (free of charge). From the unpleasant: very cold water in the jacuzzi and small pools - you can’t sit. On the most extreme slide without a circle, they scratched their back. The park could do with a facelift! The food is normal: fast food, but everything is fresh, waffles, ice cream, smoothies, juices, coffee. I do not recommend the pizza, the burgers are delicious, there are different menus. My favorite was the tuna salad. Prices are normal, as everywhere in the resort, it makes sense to carry only water with you. The menu is about 8-10 euros. Be sure to take slippers (the concrete gets very hot), sunscreen, panama hats!! ! I thought that at the end there would be queues everywhere as for the entrance, but most of the visitors left earlier. At the exit, you can register and get a 50% discount on your next visit.
Also, at the entrance, everyone is photographed and at the end of the day you can buy your photo for 5 euros. We decided to go back by taxi-limousine for 10 euros, but then a couple from Romania approached us and offered to share this amount) (so cooperate). In general, I didn’t really like it, except for the family slide, from which you need to go down the three of us on a triple circle, a few seconds of free fall in the dark and the crowd is fun, and a slow river - it’s green and the arches are painted))) I recommend it only if you have never been to water parks, nowhere to take the children, you want a Greek-style photoset, and the price is too high!
