The Cathedral of Saints Cyril and Methodius is located on Resslova Street, in the Prague 2 district of Prague, not far from the Dancing House and the Jiraskovy Bridge. The church was built in 1730-1736 according to the design of the architect Kilian Dientzenhofer. Initially, the building was built as a Catholic church, but in 1933 the cathedral was transferred to Orthodox believers. Today, the Cathedral of Saints Cyril and Methodius is the main Orthodox church in the Czech Republic.

Cathedral of Saints Cyril and Methodius
The Baroque church was built in 1730-1736 by architects Kilian Ignac Dinzenhofer and Pavel Ignac Bayer. The one-nave church with a small tower was originally dedicated to St. Carlo Borromeo. The house next door was intended for elderly priests. The church stands on a slate rock, which is now a terrace that rises 3-4 meters above the street. In 1783, as a result of church reforms, the church was closed, barracks and warehouses were located in the premises and associated buildings. In 1866 the buildings were transferred to the Czech Polytechnic.→

History of Prague during World War II
If you love history and want to know more about Prague during World War II, this is the place for you. But, despite the fact that I'm not too keen on history, I still found it quite interesting. The place is small, it consists of a hall and a crypt of the church. On the walls you can see a lot of information about the state of affairs in the country during the Hitler dictatorship and the operation to assassinate Reinhard Heydrich.→
