Walking around Kadriorg in search of new experiences, we went to the house-museum of the classic of Estonian literature - Eduard Vilde. The apartment-museum of the writer occupies the first floor of an old wooden house. The museum exposition on the first floor is small, but it is assembled with care and love. Antiques and furniture recreate the environment in which the writer spent the last years of his life. I especially liked the kitchen - I remember the long-handled coffee grinder attached to the wall. I liked the museum - cute, homely. It was interesting to look at all sorts of little things like old candy labels, illustrations for the first editions of the writer, photos, and smell the old wooden house. I must say that despite the fact that fame came to Vilde quite early, his life was full of material difficulties, and he acquired his own house already in his declining years.
The young Estonian Republic, recognizing the merits of the writer to the fatherland, presented Eduard Vilde with a separate living space in honor of his sixtieth birthday - the same apartment in which the museum is now located. Here the writer lived and worked until his death in 1933, and he was 68 years old at that time. To be honest, before visiting this museum, I did not know about the existence of such a writer, although his works have been translated into many languages of the world, including Ukrainian. After visiting the museum, I found and read one of his works - "The Milkman from Mä ekü la" - in my opinion this is the best compliment for the museum : ).
The museum is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm, the entrance to the museum is paid - 2 euros.

Tip: it is better to come here during the second or third visit to Kadriorg.
