The North Cemetery is part of the City of the Dead. There are more than 50 thousand tombs here, mostly wealthy people who lived in the Mamluk era. Therefore, in this part of the cemetery, burials are distinguished by a special color; among the mausoleums of sultans and emirs, there are real masterpieces of architecture.
