The monument to those who died during the crash of Flight 604 is located next to Coco Beach and not far from the lighthouse. It was installed in 2004 shortly after the tragedy, when a Flash Airines plane flying to Paris crashed in the Red Sea. The monument is a semi-circular rotunda, in the center of which a bronze flock of birds, representing the souls of 148 dead, aspires to the sky. Also there is a stele on which the names of the dead are carved, and the flags of the countries whose citizens were on that ill-fated flight (Morocco, France, Egypt and Japan) are hung out.

Monument
The monument is in poor condition, tiles are falling off, etc. And I would like to know if there is something similar in memory of the victims of the Airbus in 2015? !→

A beautiful and unusual place on Cape El Fanar
When visiting El Fanar beach, one cannot fail to notice this monument, which is dedicated to the victims of the Boeing plane crash. The monument consists of an arched stele, on which the names of the dead are inscribed in several languages ​ ​ and a flock of birds, which aspires to the sky. A beautiful place worth a visit if you are visiting Sharm. Of the minuses, the monument is being destroyed, several plates are missing on the stele.→

poignantly, strongly
Not the monument that I would like to advise you to visit, but the composition is very strong, poignant - there are not many of them in fact. And when you walk around Sharm, enjoy the rest that you have been planning for so long to escape from everyday life, and then wander to the monument - it acts very soberingly, you realize that you really need to appreciate every moment.→

Striking memorial
Near the El Fanara beach, we visited the Monument to the victims of the Boeing-737 plane crash. A very deep impression. The monument stands on the shores of the majestic sea, on a white background with the names of the victims, the souls of the tourists and crew who died in the crash, depicted in the form of iron birds, are rushing into the sky.→
