The Palace of Catalan Music is a concert hall in Barcelona, ​​built by the architect Luis Domènech y Montaner in the Catalan Art Nouveau style. It is the only hall in Europe with natural light.

The theater was opened on February 9, 1908. In 1997, the Palace of Catalan Music was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. About half a million people a year attend performances held in this concert hall. Now the palace hosts various performances: musical performances, concerts of symphonic and chamber music, jazz and Catalan songs.

The highlight is the stained glass ceiling!
In the evening, on the advice of the travelers, we combined a visit to the pearl of modernism of the Courts of Catalunian Music (PALAU DE LA M? SICA CATALANA) with a visit to a musical spectacle in it. And what to listen (watch) in Spain - of course flamenco!! ! We were lucky that during our time in Barcelona there was a performance of Arte Flamenco, tickets were taken very early in order to sit in the best seats. In principle, the parterre was full, there were empty seats on the 2nd and 3rd floors (at the back).→

For lovers of architectural modernism
The palace can be visited either on the day of the concert or during one of the organized visits that take place every day. The cost of the tour is 18 euros, the duration is about 1 hour. The schedule of excursions on the site does not coincide with reality, so it’s better to come up and buy a ticket for the next excursion on the spot. The concert hall was built by the architect Luis Domè nech i Montaner for the choral society of Catalan music "Orfeo Catala". At the beginning of the tour, a short film about the history of the Palace is shown.→
