The Archaeological Museum of Seville was opened at the end of the 19th century and is now located in the Maria Luisa Park in the Renaissance Pavilion on Piazza España, built for the 1929 Ibero-American Exhibition.
The museum's collection includes exhibits from the history of the Iberian Peninsula from the Paleolithic to the Middle Ages - these are metal weapons, ceramic dishes, glassware, jewelry. Most of the exhibits were found in Andalusia.
The special value of the museum is the magnificent Corinthian capital of the era of Trajan, Roman statues, including Mercury, Mars, Venus, mosaics and busts of Roman emperors from the excavations of the city of Italica.

The Museum of Archeology of Seville is located in the Maria Luisa Park in the "Renaissance" pavilion, which was built in 1929 for the Ibero-American exhibition. Entrance 1.5 euros. This museum contains all the archaeological finds that were discovered during excavations in the province of Seville, including some of the mosaics from the Roman colony of Italica.
