As a Seville palace of the 16th century, Pilate's House organically combines the influences of Gothic, Italian Renaissance and Mudéjar style. The house got its name from Fadrika Henriquez, the first Marquis of Tarifa. Being a devout man, he made a pilgrimage to the Holy Land and returned to find that his palace was exactly as far from the place of pilgrimage in Seville - the chapel of Cruz del Campo, as the house of Pontius Pilate from Golgotha ​​in Jerusalem.
The decoration of Pilate's House is an amazing shady garden. Guests will be able to appreciate the architecture and interior of the building with its tapestries, murals and frescoes, valuable antique furniture, a huge collection of paintings, including works by Luca Giordano and images of bullfighting scenes by Francisco Goya. Particularly beautiful is the courtyard, surrounded by graceful arcades, in its center there is a charming fountain with dolphins and a two-faced Janus, and in the corners there are Roman statues of the goddesses Minerva, Ceres, Muse and Athena.
