The monument to Sardana was erected on May 6, 1973 on the Champ de Mars and is the work of the Catalan sculptor Josep Brull. The sculpture is made of white marble and is dedicated to the traditional Catalan dance. The monument is a small column depicting a round dance of young people dancing a sardana. The monument is now located on the New Rambla, not far from the Monument to Grandfather Virgil.

On the New Rambla there is a monument to the traditional Catalan round dance - the sardana. Sculptor Josep Brull. The opening of the monument was timed to coincide with the proclamation of Tarragona in 1973 as the capital of Sardana. Moreover, the elections of the "main city of Sardana" are held in Catalonia annually.
