The huge round fountain was built in 1860 by Theophile Turnard. Consists of two pools. The larger one, i. e. the lower one, with a diameter of 41 meters, is decorated with figures of lions. In the smaller, upper part of the pool, there is a pedestal decorated with cheetah heads. The composition is crowned by three marble statues symbolizing justice, trade and fine arts.
