This walk was recommended to us by locals. It has everything - views of the sea, cliffs, lush rainforest, mountain stream (stream). The total length is 16 km.

It's easy to find. From Anse Couleuvre beach to Port de Grand-Riviere, there is a gap in the Martinique ring road - Trace Precheur-Grand-Riviere ring and closes, so to speak. But only on foot, there is no road for cars.

First, if you go from the Anse Couleuvre beach, the path goes along the sea - stunning landscapes of cliffs and the sea. Then he dives into an authentic tropical forest, also very picturesque. Everywhere there are signs, bridges, steps, if necessary, and even a tunnel through the rock.

From Port de Grand-Riviere, locals are brought back, on a fishing boat, for 15 euros per person.

To consolidate the impressions, the same mountains, only the view from the sea. And not 4-6 hours of walking, but 15 minutes by boat.

Upon returning, you can and should swim on the Anse Couleuvre beach - there is (practically) no infrastructure, the sand is dark, volcanic, rocks. Such a dark color.
This area, due to its location and topography, is the wettest in Martinique, respectively, the vegetation is the most lush.

For me, this hike was one of the most vivid impressions from Martinique, along with climbing the Mont Pele volcano.
