This museum is the former property of Neli Jacmar and Edward Andre, the heir to the Banker family and a great art lover. Together they gathered a collection of works of art in which there were paintings, sculptures, tapestries and art objects of the 18th century, as well as Italian painting, primitive art and the Renaissance, which was a passion. To demonstrate their collection, they decided to build a private mansion with perfect symmetry. Already in those days, their house was used to demonstrate a collection of works of art at lush parties and secular raautes. The masterpieces of Bellinini, Botticelli, Donatello, Night, Vizhe-Labren, Sharden, Fragonar and David are exhibited in front salons, deliberately left in the form as to reflect the social life of the Jacmar Andre family.
The museum takes visitors to the past through the personal apartments of the spouses: the Madame bedroom, the hallway of Monsieur, the Monsieur bedroom and its bathroom.
Even a dining room with a ceiling painted by Tiepolo, and tapestries allows you to look into the life of collectors. I especially liked the winter garden with a very beautiful staircase. In the museum, you can have a bite in the tea room, from where an exciting view of the courtyard opens. The entrance to the museum is paid-15 euros, if there are exhibitions, then 18 euros.
