Accidentally passed by and I was interested in a beautiful building. Interestingly, its construction was financed by the Duchess of Galliera (after the death of her husband, who owned this land). She decided to arrange something like her own museum of paintings, embroidery and lace. Construction began in 1879 under the direction of the architect Lé on Guinein and was completed in 1894. The Duchess died in 1888, having quarreled with the authorities of Paris (this is a different story) and transferring her entire collection to the museum of Italian Genoa.
