The Museum of the City of Athens is housed in two surviving buildings: the house of the banker Stamatios Dekozis-Vouros (right) and his son Konstantinos Vouros (left). The former is one of the first examples of early strict classicism, designed by the German architects Lü ders and Hoffer. The latter is a three-story building designed by the military engineer Gerasimos Metaxas. Today, the facade is completely different from the original, as it was radically redesigned in 1916 with neo-Baroque elements.→
