The Museum of Prehistoric Fira contains exhibits from the excavations of Akrotiri, as well as other sites.

The exhibition of the museum consists of four sections: History of the exploration of Fira, Geology of Fira, History of the island from the late Neolithic to the late Cyclades, Rise of Akrotiri.

In principle, the museum is quite good, especially considering that apart from it there are very few good museums in this area. I was pleased with various figurines of animals found in the excavations of the ancient settlement of Akrotiri. Although, in principle, similar figurines can be found in the museums of Athens. And so, the same thing: a bunch of Greek jugs, incomprehensible fragments of some other ancient dishes, half-broken busts (that is, the statuettes were preserved in very poor condition).
