Hungarian parliament building

Hungarian Parliament Building, Orszaghaz
Hungary, Budapest
The Hungarian Parliament Building is the seat of the Hungarian Parliament on the banks of the Danube in Budapest. Its architecture intricately intertwined neo-Gothic elements modeled on the Palace of Westminster and the influence of the Parisian Beaux-Arts. The parliament building is the largest in Hungary; it has 691 rooms, 29 stairs and 10 courtyards.

This house is impressive. It is built of light stone and decorated with numerous towers, spiers, columns, sculptures and other decorative elements. Look at it from the other side of the Danube, preferably from the Fisherman's Bastion. You can take a closer look at the individual elements that do not give a generalized impression. Next to it is a flagpole with the Hungarian national flag, near which two chat rooms stand guard, sometimes standing and sometimes passing. Watch the video.

The British put it best about the Hungarian Parliament building: “If our Parliament building is the largest, then the Hungarian Parliament building is the most beautiful! ” Well, how can you argue? The architecture of the building impresses with its size and airiness at the same time. And how beautiful it looks from the side of the river, while walking on a boat! I advise you to buy tickets in advance on the Parliament website in order to go inside with a guided tour. Inside, everywhere, except for the domed hall, you can shoot, and tours are held in many languages, including Russian - 2 times a day.

Well, there are cities in the world, places and sights that you drive and drive past, but "they are not given in your hands. " That's the way it is with Parliament. Already from the Buda side, so many photos were taken from the Danube, sailing directly, but to visit, stand nearby, and somehow it’s impossible to get inside. I planned a mandatory visit for August, a fly session with an excursion, but the trip did not take place. It remains only to admire this grandiose building from the side, which itself admires its reflection in the blue waters of the Danube!.

Business card of Budapest. Architecture that strikes the imagination. Definitely a must-see! If you decide not to limit yourself to an external inspection, then an excursion inside the Parliament is also possible. To do this, you need to buy a ticket in advance for a certain time. Excursions in Russian are held around 15-00. The cost is 5200 forints (as of April 2015). The duration of the tour is about an hour. Do not take knives, cutting objects and metal products with you - when entering the Parliament, they conduct a thorough check with a metal detector! High stairs, carpet paths, crystal chandeliers, arches framed with gold, frescoes, luxurious paintings, statues at every step - everything glitters, glows and shimmers with luxury! By the way, 40 kilograms of pure gold were used in the finishing work inside the Parliament.
