The 25 hectare National Botanic Garden is located 3 km from the center of Dublin in the Glasnevin area. The garden, founded in 1795, contains 19.5 thousand plants from different parts of the world.
In the garden there are pictures of flowers, rose gardens, alpine slides, rose gardens, arboretums, there are several greenhouses, a pond. The European Nostra Prize was awarded to the Palm House with a collection of plants from tropical regions. The Botanical Garden is a breeding center for expensive varieties of orchids. Every year, the garden hosts the Sculpture Exhibition, Ireland's largest open-air exhibition, from September to October.
