Temple of Unity of Religions Baha'i
The Lotus Temple was built just over 40 years ago. The temple is very popular and the entrance is free, so get ready for the crowds. Here religion is professed - Bahai, the main principle of which is the unity of all religions of the world. There are only 7 such temples around the world. The shape of the temple - the lotus was chosen as a symbol of purity and strength. Externally, the temple is really beautiful and unusual. But coming closer, you encounter a number of inconveniences - the area near the temple is quite large, decorated with lawns with flowers, but most of the paths are closed, and the whole crowd follows the trail along the central road.→

Queue lovers - this is for you!
I really wanted to see with my own eyes what kind of miracle the Lotus Temple is inside - it looked very beautiful from the outside in those photos that I found in numerous reviews about this place. The first negative is a nightmarishly long line of those eager to look, the second negative is that you need to take off your shoes, and India has never been a model of sanitary standards for me. And inside. . Inside there is nothing special, a bench for meditation, and nothing more. It turned out to be a strange visit - all the brightest and most pleasant impressions were received before entering inside.→

Disappointment after delight
Having visited the Bahai Gardens in Haifa, I expected a comparable impression from the Lotus Temple in Delhi - this is the largest building of the followers of a new religion, which is aimed at reconciling adherents of other religions. Motto: God is one, let the paths to him be different! However, I was disappointed! The temple is really beautiful and is a masterpiece of architecture, but the surrounding gardens are not very interesting, frankly, ordinary, and even the crowds of the loitering public around! But most of all I was surprised by the presence of lawn fencing near the exit from the complex in the form of barbed wire! That's really it with a religion calling for the worship of the Beautiful can not coexist in any way!.→
