The first thing you see when you get to this place is, of course, the 37-meter Shiva sitting in the lotus position. The sizer is simply dumbfounded - you stand with your mouth open, contemplating this whopper! So what, what's new? The impression is not sickly! Under the statue there is a room in which colorful sculptural compositions are arranged in a circle, very clearly illustrating the part of the Mahabharata, which tells about the demonic king Ravana, who desired to receive a lingam that gives immortality and great power (we saw something similar in a Buddhist temple in Sri Lanka, but it was a completely different story.→
