The Arch of Peace is located in the center of Piazza Sempione, which is part of the Sempione Park. It was built in 1838 under the rule of the Austrians and is dedicated to the Congress of Vienna, which marked the victory over Napoleon. The three-flight 25-meter arch is crowned with a bronze wagon with six horses, as well as four equestrian statues in the corners.
