Piazza del Plebiscito

Piazza del Plebiscito, Plebiscite Square
Italy, Naples
Piazza del Plebiscito is the largest horse in Naples, its soul and heart. It is named after the 1860 plebiscite that resulted in Southern Italy joining Piedmont. On one side of the square are the Royal Palace and the Church of St. Francis of Paola, on the other - the palaces of Salerno and della Prefettura. There are also monuments to Charles III and Ferdinand I. Piazza del Plebiscito is the center of city life and hosts many cultural events.

This is the largest square in the city. On one side of the square is the Royal Palace, and on the other, the Basilica of San Francesco di Paola (a reduced copy of the Pantheon in Rome)
