The fountain may have been designed by Hippolyte II himself. It is a miniature of the most important buildings of ancient Rome. A small bridge across the canal represents the waters of the Tiber, the boat represents the Tiber Island. In the center is a statue of the Victorious Roma, and next to it is a she-wolf feeding Romulus and Remo.→
