Isla Mujeres

Isla Majures, Isle of Women
Mexico, Cancun
Isla Mujeres is located 13 kilometers east of the coast of Cancun. It is also known as the "Isle of Women" because of the numerous ceramic figures left here from the Maya civilization. About 13,000 people live on the island, 7 km long and 650 m wide. Isla Mujeres is one of the most popular resorts in the Caribbean with soft white sand beaches and crystal clear waters. Divers come here to admire the picturesque reefs, flora and fauna of the Caribbean underwater world, see the sculptures of the underwater museum off the west coast of the island.
In the dolphinarium, located on the island, you can swim with these beautiful creatures. In the evening, entertainment begins in numerous bars and discos. In summer, the migratory route of whale sharks passes near the island, in honor of which a festival of conservationists is held on Isla Mujeres.
