Mount Kala Pathar is located on the southern range of Pumori in the Nepalese Himalayas. The height of the mountain is 5643 meters above sea level, it is a popular climbing route among climbers. Climbing the mountain takes an average of 2-4 hours, it offers a panoramic view of Everest and other peaks. In 2009, at the top of Kala Pathar, the Prime Minister of Nepal and the Cabinet of Ministers held a meeting to draw public attention to the problem of global warming.
