The crane is a medieval port crane, which was one of the most advanced structures of that time in Europe. Its construction dates back to 1442. On the roof of the building there is a figurine of a crane (a symbol of vigilance), hence the name - Crane. It is interesting that the load was lifted thanks to the work of two huge wheels with a diameter of more than 5 meters, while the wheels were rotated by people moving according to the squirrel principle in the wheel.

Now there is a museum inside the Crane and for 8 zlotys you can see all the details of this medieval engineering structure. Located at: Szeroka 67/68.
