The palace was rebuilt in 1505 from two burgher houses and was appointed Bishop of Plock Erasmus Cio? Ek (Polish: Erazm Cio? Ek, 1474–1522). Above the portal is the coat of arms with the royal eagle and the letter "S" in honor of King Sigismund I the Old. After the death of Bishop Ziolek, the palace became the residence of Bishop Peter Tomicki, then Cardinal Jerzy Radziwill. During the Austro-Hungarian monarchy in the XIX century, the palace was gradually destroyed, architectural details were destroyed or hidden under plaster.
