The Reformed appeared in Poland in 1622. Their first church, built in 1640, was burned during the Swedish invasion of 1655. In 1658, the Reformers settled on what is now Reformatska Street, in an estate donated by the Cracow castellan Stanisł aw Warszycki. In 1666 the cornerstone of the new church was consecrated, and in 1672 the construction of the Baroque church was completed.

In the upper part of the facade there are three shallow niches with bas-reliefs of Saints Kazimierz, Anthony and Peter of Alcantara. In the interiors of the church - images and paintings of the XVII-XIX centuries, frescoes by Alexander Mrochkovsky, made in 1904. In the altar of one of the chapels is preserved the oldest image of Jesus the Merciful, left over from the first church.

The catacombs of the church are the only place in Poland where the bodies of about 250 monks and 730 lay people have been mummified naturally. 60 bodies are stored in graves, the rest - just on the ground and in the sand.
Among them is a soldier in the Napoleonic army in full uniform, with a rifle and a saber (disappeared during the German occupation), who came to the monastery with a shot in the knee in 1812 and died soon after.

Across the street from the monastery is the sanctuary of St. Casimir. Earlier, this territory, transferred to the Franciscan Order in 1735, was used as a cemetery. In 1863, a wall was built separating the area from the street. In the middle, a worship cross was erected and stations of the Way of the Cross were equipped - chapels with deep niches for paintings depicting the Lord's passions. The paintings were painted by artist Mykhailo Stakhovych. Between the chapels are epitaphs on black marble, among them is a plaque with the name of Malgozhata from Kobylychka Stakhovychkova, the artist's wife, who died in 1822.
