Church of St. Mark

Poland, Krakow
The temple is located in the historical center of Krakow. The beginning of construction dates back to the 13th century. As a result of a major fire that occurred in 1494, only the walls of the presbytery survived. Three more fires followed (the last in 1724). However, each time the religious building was restored, while it changed its appearance. From the moment of its foundation and until the 19th century, the temple was associated with the Augustinian monks, who considered St. Mark their patron. The last major restoration took place in the 1970s.
