Market Square

The Market Square is the main square of Krakow, the center of city life. It was built in the middle of the 13th century and has dimensions of 200x200 meters. The buildings adjacent to it were erected during the 14th-15th centuries. The square has retained its unique medieval appearance to this day. In its center is a grandiose building - the Sukenitsy, in the building of which the National Museum is located.

One of the largest medieval squares in Europe
All roads in Krakow lead to the Market Square (Rynek Glowny). It arose according to the plan of 1257, according to which a square square was to become the center of the city. And three straight streets would diverge from it in different directions. Thus, the whole city was divided into squares, like a chessboard. Heart and soul of the city.
For the sake of this square and Wawel, most often they go to Krakow ...It is worth going to Krakow, because this city is beautiful and cheap (in terms of prices), and once there, you will see for yourself how good this Square is. The "cloth rows" market is located in the very center of the square, I want to try everything - pretzels, sausages, lard, meat))) you can buy anything (and not you want) in this market! Very beautiful knitted tablecloths and napkins, all kinds of household utensils.→
