The Museum of Asia and the Pacific displays museum materials from Asia, Oceania, and Australia. The museum consists of two sections—the Southern and Asian Galleries—which are located in different locations. The Southern Pavilion is located at 24 Solec Street, and the Asian Gallery is at 5 Frety Street.
The museum was founded in 1973. Its core collection was the collection of sailor and diplomat Andrzej Wawrzyniak, who spent a total of 27 years in Vietnam, Indonesia, Nepal, Laos, and Afghanistan.
