Wroclaw gnomes are one of the symbols of Wroclaw. These are small bronze sculptures no larger than 30 centimeters in size, scattered throughout the city. The statues of dwarfs began to be installed in 2001, currently there are more than 300 of them in Wroclaw.

Entertainment for tourists
Over the past decades, gnomes have become a hallmark of Wroclaw. The city hosts the Dwarf Festival, and those who wish can walk along the tourist route “Following the Dwarfs” or buy a magnet with the image of fabulous dwarfs in souvenir shops. The first figurines (a dwarf musketeer, a butcher, a dwarf washerwoman and dwarfs-Sisyphus, who push a large ball in different directions) were installed in 2005 by Tomasz Moczek, a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts. Since then, the number of fairy-tale characters has been constantly growing.→

Travel game "Find the gnome"
In 2001, the first 30-centimeter sculpture of a gnome was made according to a sketch by sculptor Olaf Brzeski and presented to the city. Since then, the city has been gripped by "gnomomania"! Sculptures of gnomes began to be installed throughout the city, now there are already about 270 of them. The game "Find the gnome" has become a real tourist feature of Wroclaw. Even separate maps with the routes "In the footsteps of the gnomes" are sold. I must say that the figures of these little pranksters are installed in the most unexpected places and everything is in action! One washes clothes on the river bank, the other withdraws money from an ATM, the third is imprisoned, the fourth sells newspapers, and so on ad infinitum!.→
