University Square is an important square located in the heart of Bucharest. It is named so due to the University of Bucharest located here. It is surrounded by the buildings of the National Theatre, the Koltea Hospital with an 18th century church, the Sutu Palace, which now houses the Museum of the History of Bucharest, and the building of the aforementioned university. Under the square there is a metro station, as well as an underground passage with cafes and shops.
