The Gorgippia Anapa Archaeological Museum is an open-air museum reserve, whose history began with the opening of an archaeological exhibition in 1909. The Archaeological Museum includes excavations of the ancient settlement and several exhibitions presenting the most interesting finds found in Anapa and the surroundings of the resort. Here you can see the main street and quarters of Gorgippia, whose age is II - the beginning of the III centuries BC. The crypt of Hercules, which was discovered in 1975, is rightfully considered the pearl of the museum. The wall frescoes depicting the exploits of Hercules are well preserved in the crypt.

Didn't like it very much
The museum part is attractive, interesting, integral, capacious. And the excavations, on which we made a big bet, turned out to be boring. You need to walk and read the inscriptions. Boring.→

Archaeological Museum and excavations of the ancient city
The museum is excellent, the guide is interesting. I was struck by such exhibits as frescoes about the exploits of Hercules from the sarcophagus and Scythian gold. Really amazing. But in the excavations, nothing interesting was brought out for himself. There is an independent tour, according to the inscriptions and tablets.→
