Mosque "Heart of Chechnya" in Grozny - one of the largest places of worship in the world, with a capacity of about 10,000 people - was opened on October 17, 2008 on the banks of the Sunzha River, in a vast park. Together with the Islamic University. Kunta-Khadzhi and the Spiritual Administration of Chechen Muslims, is part of the Islamic complex, occupying a total area of ​​5000 m². The mosque is named after Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov, the first president of the Chechen Republic.
The temple was built with the help of Turkish craftsmen in 2.5 years in the classical Ottoman style based on the Blue Mosque architecture in Istanbul. The central hall of the mosque is crowned with a dome with a diameter of 16 m, on the sides there are 4 minarets 63 meters high - these are the highest minarets in Russia. The mosque has 36 chandeliers made of Swarovski crystals. A park spread around with 50 varieties of trees, with a cascade of colored fountains and night lighting, with a summer gallery and a square that can additionally accommodate another 10,000 believers.

the mosque "Heart of Chechnya" is the hallmark of the Chechen Republic. The mosque is part of an Islamic complex measuring 14 hectares, which includes the Russian Islamic University named after Kunta-Khadzhi and the spiritual administration of Muslims of the Chechen Republic.
