The children reached the long-awaited trip into the dark, the famous excursion in total darkness - Walk in the dark.
We arrived from Mozhaisk for one day in Moscow, to walk around the city and on an excursion.
Tickets were bought in advance by booking them on the website.
The very idea of such an excursion is very relevant, and should show children what the world is like and that despite the difficulties of life, there is always a way out.
The tour lasts 1 hour, we went in one group and another guide, by the way, a blind guy. As it turned out, all the guides are blind or have poor vision. They are better able to navigate in the dark.
The tour consisted of several parts. In the first part there are 5 rooms stylized as an apartment with furniture and various interior items; under the street, where there is a roadway, cars, sounds; under the grocery store, with food; under the museum, where sculptures and paintings; under the bar
In the second part - this is the bright part of the tour, the guide tells interesting facts from the life of blind people, shows the Braille alphabet and typhlo devices.
When the children entered the dark room, the beginning of the tour, at first they did not know what to do, they did not dare to take a step. But the guide quickly brought everyone out of their stupor and helped them take their first steps. The guys quickly got used to it, and already fully used other senses, everything except vision. We actively talked and shared our emotions. The street was very impressive, especially the crossing of the road to the sound of a traffic light. Everything was very realistic.
The tour ended quickly, 1 hour flew by unnoticed. Everyone, without exception, enjoyed the Walk in the Dark. But the most important thing is that children will have a lifetime memory of that hour when they could not see the world, but could feel it with the help of hands, sounds, tastes.
And I believe that this will help them to be kinder and more attentive to the people around them, both with and without special needs.
