Democracy Monument

The Democracy Monument was erected in the central square of Bangkok in 1939. It is dedicated to the revolution of 1932, as a result of which a constitutional monarchy was established in the country. It consists of four 24-meter wing-shaped structures that surround the central structure. The Democracy Monument is a popular meeting place for citizens, political demonstrations often take place here.
