Golden Buddha Mountain

Mount Golden Buddha is located south of the city, near the Wat Yan temple complex. This is the largest rock image of the Buddha, it was created in 1996. The image was applied to Khao Chi Chan mountain using a special laser technology, its height is about 160 meters. Today, Mount Golden Buddha is a popular pilgrimage site among religious Thais.

A monstrously huge "figure" of the Buddha
This drawing, if you can call it that . . attention (! ) is carved right into the rock, and then filled with gold! To say that the devotion of the people to their god is amazing is to say nothing. But the place itself is not worth going on a short journey just for its sake. If you capture the temple of Wat Yan - then it's still worth it.→

What about the meaning?
Maybe I'm a sophisticated tourist, but I didn't notice anything but another huge Buddha on a huge mountain. On excursions they rip off money, again, but you can get there yourself. Did not impress.→
