The Thai village in Phuket is a whole ethnographic village where tourists can get acquainted with the local national culture. I want to say, the place is very colorful, I immediately liked it. Tourists are shown shows with elephants, they are fed a traditional Thai lunch, and for an additional fee you can watch a sword fight and Thai boxing. Not being fans of various battles and martial arts, we missed this part of the program, especially since the performance was not cheap. But we slowly walked around the territory, looked into Thai wicker huts, looked at the rubber tree and the process of rubber extraction, took plenty of pictures and went to ride elephants. Be sure to ride at least once in your life on this giant! Having climbed into a kind of chair-sitting on his back, you will understand how this design is imperfect, which all the time strives to move to one side, then to the other.
Several times it seemed to me that the earth was already very close : ) But the culmination was the moment when the elephant decided to pull off some fruits from the palm tree and stood on his hind legs. This is where insurance would really come in handy : ) At the same time, the driver lazily tapped the elephant behind the ear with his heel, and he, grunting displeasedly, continued on his way. By the way, a local Thai will take a photo on an elephant for you, then, decorated in a beautiful frame, you can buy it for little money. Later, you can feed the elephants by buying rotten bananas from the Thais for some reason. The elephants themselves, unfortunately, are not in the best condition, in other words, they are not well-groomed and ask for food all the time. But despite this, I also liked the show, although not as impressive as skating. There is a climax in the show when the audience is offered to try a massage - those who wish to lie down on the ground, and the elephant lightly steps on top of his foot and pats it on the back.
Spectators are delighted to take pictures - from the outside it looks impressive!
