Ephesus is an ancient city that flourished during the reign of three empires: Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman. In the 15th century the city was abandoned. Five centuries later, English archaeologists first excavated this site, as a result of which the beauty of the legendary city was again open to the world. Ephesus is located on the territory of modern Turkey, in the vicinity of the city of Selcuk. Most of the ruins of Ephesus have been reconstructed. The greatest interest among the monuments of ancient architecture is the Bolshoi Theater, the Library of Celsus, the Temple of Hadrian.

Time Machine, or Journey to Ephesus - an incredibly mesmerizing touch of history!
If someone has doubts whether or not to go to Ephesus - my opinion is unequivocal and a thousandfold YES! For lovers of history, architecture and just beautiful photos. 10th century BC e. , the very idea that the marble on which the goddess Artemis herself walked now under your feet excites the mind. My 10 year old son was also delighted with the tour. We left Bodrum, the road took about 3 hours with a stop for breakfast and a stop at the factory (15 minutes). We made all our excursions from Bodrum with the Efor tourism company - comfortable buses, a Russian-speaking guide, excellent organization.→

Ephesus - the pearl of Turkey
The ruins of the ancient city of Ephesus are worth a visit to anyone who travels to Turkey. Especially true for those who stay on the Aegean coast. This site is also included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List. The entrance ticket costs 60 Turkish lira. The territory of the museum is very large, it houses one of the wonders of the world - the Temple of Artemis (more precisely, what is left of it).
