The ancient city of Amos is located on Cape Asardzhik, towering above the bay of Kumlubuk, near the village of Turunc. The city was founded in VI-VII BC. the ancient Greek tribe of the Dorians. The walls on the northern side of the cape, the ruins of several towers, a theater and the main gate are best preserved to this day. On the northern slope of the cape, outside the city walls, the remains of a necropolis have been preserved.

The road to the city is very scenic. They got there by car. The new road is good, but it was a little uncomfortable. Ride uphill, around the forest, not a single living soul. BUT, when we got to the city - the view of the surroundings was worth it! The godok itself is small, you can get around it up and down in an hour. But everything is compensated by the view from the top, on which it is actually located.→

Walking tour. better to go early in the morning
In the vicinity of Marmaris, near the village of Turunc. You will have to walk from the bus that comes from Marmaris, up the asphalt road, in the opposite direction from the one you came from. After the ruins of Lorim, we thought there would be nothing like it that would be as enjoyable. But this place was amazing. There are quite a lot of tourists here, and the place itself evokes a feeling of "alive", despite its antiquity and collapse. It is better to arrive here, of course, in the morning, so as not to wander in the heat.→
