A place with amazing energy. For the first time I saw the columns of the temple from the sea. I had the feeling that I had moved 4.000 years ago and sailed from Ancient Greece on a ship ...the next day in the afternoon we left the hotel with my son ourselves in Side - streets, souvenirs, shops with things and bags ...but, as soon as we got to the pier and turned left . . we stopped in shock ...white marble columns, ruins of porticos - a contrast with the blue sea . . it's so beautiful! A huge number of the most valuable and ancient artifacts under your feet, the remains of a temple with jellyfish heads made by stonemasons for 4.000 years ...we have goosebumps . . and we also touch the same bas-reliefs . . sea, sun, sky, a lot, a lot of air and white ...Much later I went around Side not in the heat - I visited both in March and December - an open-air museum - very similar to Rome - the ruins of the Forum ..
when leaving Side - the remains of an ancient hospital, sort of like archaeologists guessed, such as a municipality or a library . . now everything is overgrown with laurel and dunes of sand . . further is a wild beach . . but the feeling of moving in time remains . . on the city beach the remains of an ancient city wall . . arched ceilings are visible ...you lay a towel on marble slabs - and you feel that this is the history of mankind ...there are still baths in the city, an amphitheater at the entrance, a colonnade street . . I still haven’t even walked around . . Artifacts everywhere. . Side is an open-air Museum of Civilization.
