We visited this place on our own. The first thing that tourists see entering or entering the ancient city of Side is the monumental Nymphaeum fountain. The monumental fountain Nymphaeum (or the Fountain of the Three Pools) is a unique monument of ancient architecture in the city of Side. Built in the II century. n. e. in honor of the Roman emperors Vespasian and Titus. The fountain had three floors and reached a height of 5 m. Its width was 35 m. Water was supplied to the fountain using an aqueduct laid from the Manavgat River. It was a grand building for those times. The fountain was decorated with marble niches, columns, statues and frescoes.
Now two of the three floors of the fountain have been preserved. The building has reached our times in good condition. And in the archaeological museum of Side you can see parts of the decorative elements of this fountain.
