Sirkeci Gari is a railway station, famous for being the terminus of the famous Orient Express, which connected in the late XIX - early XX centuries. Istanbul with Europe. It is located on the Golden Horn shore, in the European part of Istanbul. The building was built in the style of European Orientalism, combining Byzantine and Ottoman motifs. The station was opened in 1890 and to this day it has perfectly preserved its original appearance. Inside the building you can find a cozy restaurant Orient Express and the Istanbul Railway Museum, and next to the station there is an old steam locomotive. Currently, Sirkeci Station is a transport terminal serving local routes and international trains going to neighboring Eastern European countries (Bucharest, Sofia, Chisinau).

A very beautiful and authentic functioning station in the center of Istanbul, which at one time was the final destination of the Orient Express. It's a pity, but we were here without a guide and without the Internet, and only contemplated.
