The building of the hotel "Great Britain" is one of the oldest in Donetsk. It was built in 1883 and had two floors, and in 1891 another floor was added. Many famous guests stayed at the hotel: A. Kuprin, K. Paustovsky, V. Mayakovsky and other public figures.

Currently, "Great Britain" is a functioning 2-star hotel.
