Kharkiv house with chimeras is located on Chernyshevskaya street. It was built in 1914 in Art Nouveau style with English Gothic elements. Initially, the building housed a private gymnasium, and in Soviet times - a school. In the 90s of the twentieth century, after reconstruction, the original facade of the building was restored. The top columns of the house are supported by two sculptures of creatures that the locals most recently called the Gollums because of their striking resemblance to the Lord of the Rings character.
