Andrew's Descent - a historic street in Kiev, connecting Podil with Old Kiev. On January 20.2012, the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine issued an order according to which St. Andrew's Descent receives the status of a monument of urban planning of local significance. According to Academician Rybakov, the historical name of St. Andrew's Descent - Borichev Descent. However, this version is not confirmed by any topographic landmarks when comparing them with medieval acts of land ownership. The modern name of St. Andrew's Descent was given to the street built at the top of the street in the middle of the 18th century.
